My name is Kristina Laukkanen and here is a little bit about me …

     I always had a bit of photography in my life, but things really took off the day my dad put a camera in my hand and I fell in love with the art at the age of 5. Nothing I love more then to capture life.
My ambition drives me to perfection and that's what I aim to offer you. My experiences allow me to adapt and contour my style to suit the moment.
     What I love most about photographing my clients is that we get a chance to collaborate together and I get to watch all the magic unfold. Pure joy! We may not know how much we are all truly loved, but it is undeniable through a lens.

Solaris Entertainment “Sunshine From Your Speakers” – Toronto Corporate Photographer

Hey Folks….

Hope you are enjoying what’s left of the summer. Savor those last bbq’s and make those cottage trips count! As for me – I’ve been very busy between weddings, portraits and events. Much to catch up on blogging that is for sure. But I thought I’d take the opportunity to tell you about my friends over at Solaris Entertainment. There are always 2 things that people will always remember the most from big events: the food and the music.

Meet Vince – owner & entertainment provider extraordinaire! He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the entertainment production of your event. His extensive knowledge and experience span over 25 years +. Him and his team are the heart and soul of Solaris – a socially conscience company that is not only playing their part on reducing their imprint on the planet but they also ensure that your event is the most MEMORABLE! They cover everything from weddings, corporate events, provide live bands & enterainers and even Karaoke…just to name a few. I had the pleasure of having Solaris in the studio for some test shots. Here were a few photos that I loved and they were super awesome to work with! No DJ divas here!

Concord West Rate Payers Annual BBQ event – Toronto Event Photographer

June 30, 2010

Hi Folks,

A couple weeks back I was able to part take in a wonderful event. In a little pocket just north of the 407 but south of Hwy 7, there resides a small little community known as The Concord West Community. The streets are quite due to very little traffic – the park is nice and clean – and everyone is so neighborly. For 24 years now the Concord West Rate Payers Association have held an annual bbq filled with music, entertainment and delicious food celebrating their diversity and the area they live in. This year was extremely special in that was the 25th Anniversary for this event. Cathy Ferlisi, President, and her team of board member volunteers put together a superb event. From the marching band & fan dance to the laughing yoga & the local band Sundown’s performance as well as many others – a good time was had by all. Thank-you again for inviting me out and showing me what the spirit of true community really is.

Baylea + Jory get married at Toronto City Hall ~ Toronto Wedding Photographer

Hi Folks….

Today I wanted to share with you Baylea and Jory’s awesome engagement and wedding day. This couple are so full of good energy. The love they share for each other is so clear when you meet them. I’ve known Baylea for a few years now and when she called me to tell me she was gettin’ hitched I was so excited! Not only that, but I was over the moon when I was asked to capture their big day! Videography was captured by the fabulous Doug Foulds of Douglas Foulds Studio – can’t wait to see that piece of work!!!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone RAWK the colour pink like Baylea can! She opted out for the traditional white and did it her way with smokin’ heels from Nine WestNot to mention Jory’s slick attention to detail with his awesome accessories – belt and shoes – I love his style! The ladies were decked out in black satin tops and fitted dark denim – each of their own style of shoes representing their personalities. The intimate ceremony with family and a couple of close friends, took place at Toronto City Hall followed by a few photos across the way at my favorite coffee joint, Starbucks, and ended with an open house for friends and family to drop by and congratulate the happy couple. To top it all off, Jory’s dog, Chevy was dressed to the nines in a collar and tie. As he was eyeballing the food table most of the time, I didn’t see one stain on him after he finally jumped for the smoked salmon!
It was such a pleasure to meet both sides of the family – Mr. & Mrs. Bornstein: thank-you for inviting me to be apart of such an awesome day.

Fitness is a big part of both their lifestyles. Here are some of the engagement pics we did at the gym for kicksWe had such a blast shooting this!
